Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has received the remains of the state’s former Governor and elder statesman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, at the Yola International Airport.
Governor Fintiri, who joined members of the Tukur family, including Barrister Awwal Tukur, at the airport on Saturday night, described the death of the former governor as a monumental loss to Adamawa State.

In a message shared following the arrival of the remains, Fintiri said the state had “lost a titan,” while extending condolences to the deceased’s family and praying for the repose of his soul.
