In a condolence message issued on Friday, Nggilari described the death of the international businessman and politician as a “huge loss and a gap so big created in the country.”
Nggilari paid tribute to Tukur, saying he was a nationalist whose influence cut across Nigeria and beyond.
“Late Bamanga Tukur was a nationalist and a political father to many people in Nigeria and in other countries,” the former governor said.
“He was a man who gave his life to service, business, and nation building. His footprints will remain indelible in the history of our country.”
