Politics in Adamawa is about to witness its biggest realignment in 2027.
The rumour is strong that Abdulrahman Bashir Haske has dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, and is set to pitch his tent with the All People’s Movement, APM. The reason is simple and, to many who know him, inevitable: he could not secure the APC gubernatorial ticket in a party structured to reward hard work and competence. To ignore Tribal and religious arithmetics of all sorts.
But for Haske, this is not a story of frustration. It is a story of conviction. Throughout his struggle for the APC ticket, Haske ran a campaign structure that cut across the 21 Local Government Areas of Adamawa State. No zone was left out. No bloc was ignored. The young and old are witnesses of his issues based campaign where the knocks and crannies felt his presence with positive impacts.
