EPL: Bassey reflects on Fulham’s draw against Aston Villa

Super Eagles defender, Calvin Bassey has reflected on Fulham’s away draw against Aston Villa, DAILY POST reports.

The London club held their hosts to a 1-1 draw at Villa Park on Saturday.

Nicolas Jackson gave Aston Villa the lead six minutes before the break, with Johan Manzambi providing the assist.

Fulham, however, equalised four minutes after the hour mark following an own goal by Zion Suzuki.

Bassey was happy with Fulham’s performance but insisted that they created enough chances to win the game.

“A good away performance, we know how hard it is to come here against a team with a lot of quality. I’m proud of the boys, they did well,” Bassey told the club’s official website.

“We should have got more, missed two chances inside the six-yard box.”

Alvaro Arbeloa’s side have now garnered seven points from their last three league matches.
