Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has identified national security, good governance and strong institutions as critical foundations for achieving the country’s ambition of building a trillion-dollar economy.
Musa made the remarks while delivering a keynote address titled “National Security: Pathway to a Trillion-Dollar Economy” at the 56th Annual Accountants’ Conference of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), held at the Bola Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
Addressing accountants, policymakers and business leaders, the minister stressed that national security should not be viewed solely through the lens of military operations and law enforcement but also as a key driver of economic growth.
