The founder of the AfroMedia Pan-African media and journalism initiative, Hassan Ghazaly, has paid tribute to the late Gamal Gorkeh Nkrumah, celebrating his contributions to journalism, political analysis and the promotion of African perspectives in international affairs.
Gamal, the son of Ghana’s first President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah, and Egyptian-born Fathia Nkrumah, built a career as a journalist and intellectual whose work explored African politics, international relations and the continent’s engagement with the wider world.
His death in Cairo has prompted tributes highlighting his professional achievements and commitment to African unity. MyJoyOnline and other media organisations have reported on his passing and his career at Al-Ahram Weekly.
