In a press statement personally signed by him, Pharm. Chidama said his thoughts and deepest prayers are with the resilient people of Garaha, which he described as his root, over the terrifying attack.
The attack, which was carried out by suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgents, targeted the Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Garaha and was repelled by troops of Operation HADIN KAI in a joint operation with Forest Guards and local hunters. Six insurgents were neutralized in the encounter.
