The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.), has warned Nigerians against a suspected fraudulent housing scheme allegedly using his name, official title and photograph to attract subscribers and collect money from unsuspecting members of the public.
The minister said he had no connection with the housing scheme or any investment programme or financial venture soliciting funds from Nigerians.
According to a statement issued in Abuja and signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, the minister’s office received reports that his identity and photograph were being used without authorisation in a WhatsApp group promoting the scheme.
