Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has condemned the reported abduction of Ahmed Zakka, his wife and their infant child in Kaduna State, describing the incident as a painful reminder of the persistent insecurity threatening Nigerian families.
Atiku, in a statement reacting to a disturbing video of the incident, called on security agencies to act swiftly to secure the safe release of the abducted family and other Nigerians still being held captive by criminals.

He expressed particular concern over the involvement of an infant in the ordeal, stressing that no Nigerian should be forced to plead for their life or the safety of their loved ones in the hands of abductors.
